Gabriela S. Hobbs, MD

Gabriela S. Hobbs, MD, is currently an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School and the clinical director of the Leukemia Service at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She was born and raised in Mexico City and moved to the United States for college. She completed her undergraduate degree in biotechnology and psychology at Tufts University and then attended medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (currently known as the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai) in New York, NY. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. Lastly, she completed her fellowship training in hematology and oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. 

Dr Hobbs joined the faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2014 and, since then, she has established a clinic where she treats patients with leukemia, specifically chronic myeloid leukemia and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Her research is dedicated to clinical trials in MPNs, and the goal of her clinical and research efforts is to provide comprehensive care and innovative treatments to patients with MPNs.
