Raajit K. Rampal, MD, PhD, is an associate member and the clinical director of the Leukemia Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). He is also the director of the Myeloproliferative Neoplasms Program at MSK. He is a physician-scientist, and he leads an active laboratory program. 

Dr Rampal received his MD and PhD degrees in molecular and cellular biology at Stony Brook University. He completed his internship and residency at The University of Chicago, followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at MSK. He completed his post-doctoral training at The Ross Levine Lab.

The focus of Dr Rampal's research has been on utilizing genetic insights from primary patient samples to elucidate the mechanism of pathogenesis in acute myeloid leukemia and the Philadelphia chromosome–negative myeloproliferative neoplasms, and to develop novel therapeutic strategies in these diseases.
