Mark H. Sawyer, MD, FAAP, FIDSA, is a professor of clinical pediatrics and a pediatric infectious disease specialist at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), School of Medicine and Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. He is the medical director of the UCSD San Diego Immunization Partnership, a contract with the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency aimed to improve immunization delivery in San Diego.
Dr Sawyer is a current member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Infectious Diseases and is a past member of the US Food and Drug Administration Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.
