Ronald S. Go, MD, is a professor of medicine and chair of the Classical Hematology Group (also known as nonmalignant hematology) in the Division of Hematology, Department of Internal Medicine, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He received his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, and he completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Mayo Clinic. He practiced as a community hematologist for more than 10 years at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI, before returning to Mayo Clinic.
Dr Go's clinical and research interests include immune cytopenias, monoclonal gammopathies, thrombotic microangiopathies, and histiocytic disorders. He chairs several multidisciplinary groups, including the Mayo Clinic Complement Alternative Pathway–Thrombotic Microangiopathy Disease-Oriented Group, the Mayo Clinic–University of Alabama at Birmingham Histiocytosis Working Group, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Histiocytic Neoplasms Guideline Panel.
