Giselle S. Mosnaim, MD, MS

Giselle S. Mosnaim, MD, MS, is director of allergy and immunology research and the Early Investigator Career Development Program in the Department of Medicine at Endeavor Health. She also serves as director of the Urticaria Center of Reference and Excellence (UCARE) at Endeavor Health. Dr Mosnaim leads a clinical trials research program focused on asthma, chronic urticaria, and allergic diseases. She is an allergist and immunologist in the Endeavor Health Allergy and Immunology Medical Group and a clinical professor of medicine at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Dr Mosnaim received her undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, and her master of science in clinical research (K-30) degree from Rush Medical College. She completed her internal medicine training at Lutheran General Hospital (currently known as Advocate Lutheran General Hospital) and finished her fellowship in allergy and immunology at the integrated Rush University Medical Center and John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County Program.

She is a national leader for patient care, research, and advocacy to improve the lives of children and adults with asthma, chronic urticaria, and allergic diseases. Dr Mosnaim is a past president of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Additionally, Dr Mosnaim previously served as the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology representative to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute National Asthma Education and Prevention Program Coordinating Committee (2014-2021), a member of the Health Services Advisory Group (2018-2021), and a member of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Technical Expert Panel for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Quality Measure and Development Plan. She was also colead of the Registry of Patient Registries Asthma Outcome Measures Framework Clinical Harmonization Project (2017-2018), which was funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Dr Mosnaim also has more than 25 years of experience conducting clinical trials in the areas of asthma, chronic urticaria, and allergic diseases funded by the National Institutes of Health, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and pharmaceutical companies. She has published more than 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts in a variety of journals, including The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice, and the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.
