Looking Ahead to NANETS 2026: The Topics Our Experts Are Excited About

conference reporter by Jennifer Chan, MD, MPH; Udhayvir S. Grewal, MD
Overview

As the GEP-NETs community prepares to gather for NANETS 2026, anticipation is building around the latest developments in treatment, diagnostics, clinical research, and patient care. Ahead of this year’s meeting, we asked our Expert panel to share what they are most eager to follow and the developments they believe could have the greatest impact.

"I am looking forward to the NANETS 2026 Symposium and hearing the latest updates in research and clinical care related to neuroendocrine tumors. A highlight of the meeting will be the keynote address by Halfdan Sorbye, MD, focusing on novel insights and evolving treatment strategies in the management of extrapulmonary high-grade neuroendocrine neoplasms. The keynote and other presentations will cover exciting research that is being done to investigate novel therapies for neuroendocrine tumors, including DLL3-targeted bispecific T-cell engagers and antibody-drug conjugates, as well as other immunotherapy approaches."

“At NANETs 2026, I am particularly excited to hear about DLL3-targeted therapies for extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas and alpha-emitting RLT for SSTR-positive gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. DLL3-targeted therapies like obrixtamig, gocatamig, zocilurtatug pelitecan, etc have the potential to introduce a new biomarker-driven treatment paradigm for patients with extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas, a population where better therapies are sorely needed. Alpha-emitting RLT represents an exciting evolution of theranostics with the potential to deliver highly potent short-range radiation to SSTR-expressing tumors. This is an exciting new advance in our field, and I am excited to see where this will fit in our ever-evolving paradigm."
