Adam Cuker is Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his M.D. from Yale University and completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He continued his postgraduate training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was a fellow in hematology/oncology. He holds a Master’s degree in Translational Research from the University of Pennsylvania. He is Director of the Penn Comprehensive Hemophilia & Thrombosis Program, Assistant Director of the Penn Specialized Coagulation Laboratory, and Associate Director of the Penn-CHOP Blood Center for Patient Care and Discovery. He conducts NIH-funded patient-oriented research on immune thrombocytopenia, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, and venous thromboembolism. He is a panel member of the forthcoming American Society of Hematology guidelines on immune thrombocytopenia.
