Sagar Lonial, MD, FACP, FASCO, is chief medical officer at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and a professor in and chair of the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine, where he is also the Anne and Bernard Gray Family Chair in Cancer.
Dr Lonial is internationally recognized as a leading authority in multiple myeloma research and treatment, and his current research focuses on combinations of novel agents as therapy for multiple myeloma.
He is active in several professional organizations, including in his role as treasurer and chair of the Society of Hematologic Oncology Education Committee. Dr Lonial also serves on the International Myeloma Foundation Scientific Advisory Board and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation Scientific Advisory Board. In 2025, Dr Lonial was the recipient of the Robert A. Kyle Lifetime Achievement Award.
