Christopher R. D’Angelo, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Hematology and Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.


After obtaining his bachelor of science degree from Northwestern University, Dr D'Angelo attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics (currently known as UChicago Medicine) and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Wisconsin.


Dr D'Angelo treats patients with multiple myeloma and lymphoma, with a specific interest in central nervous system lymphoma, and specializes in cellular therapy. His research program focuses on clinical trials within these diseases, as well as collaborative translational research investigating the role of the gut microbiome in the pathogenesis and the management of multiple myeloma and lymphoma. Dr D'Angelo has received numerous awards, including the 2025 Patient Voice Award, the 2025 University of Nebraska Medical Center Internal Medicine Clinical Research Award, and the 2022 Gutschow Family Oncology Compassionate Care Award.
