Jacob D. Kattan, MD, is an associate professor of pediatrics, allergy, and immunology and director of the Food Allergy Treatment Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY.


Dr Kattan received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University followed by his MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He then completed a pediatric residency at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and a fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.


Over the past 15 years, Dr Kattan has dedicated himself to improving the lives of patients with food allergies, focusing his research on improved diagnostics and novel therapeutics. He is a nationally recognized leader in food allergy who has authored numerous original peer-reviewed articles, review articles, and book chapters on food allergy. He is also a 2-time recipient of the Cullman Family Award for Excellence in Physician Communication at Mount Sinai Hospital.
