Jenna Klotz, MD, MS, is a pediatric neurologist and neuromuscular specialist in the divisions of child neurology and neuromuscular medicine at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health. She is also the director of the pediatric neuromuscular neurodiagnostic lab.
Dr Klotz received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society and earned the Samuel A. Trufant Award for excellence in the field of neurology. She completed her pediatrics residency and child neurology training at Stanford Medicine Children’s Health/Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. During her neurology training, she served as education and administrative chief resident. Dr Klotz subsequently completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology, specializing in neuromuscular electrodiagnostic medicine, also at Stanford, where she then joined the faculty in 2018.
She is board certified in pediatrics, neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and electrodiagnostic medicine. Dr Klotz specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children with muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, and other inherited and acquired peripheral nerve, muscle, and neuromuscular junction disorders. She is part of a multidisciplinary pediatric neuromuscular team providing comprehensive care to children with neuromuscular disorders and is active in multiple clinical trials.
Dr Klotz also serves as the pediatric neuromuscular representative for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Clinical Neurophysiology Continuing Certification Committee and for the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Neurology (SONu) External Affairs and Publications Committee. She will also be serving as the SONu representative for the newly formed Muscular Dystrophy Public Health Consortium Steering Committee.
