Jose F. Camargo, MD, is an associate professor of Clinical Medicine, Immunocompromised Host Section in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami. He received his medical degree from the Universidad de Boyaca in Tunja, Colombia, and completed his residency and internship in internal medicine at the Jacobi Medical Center of Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. He held a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at New York Medical College’s Westchester Medical Center and a Fellowship in Transplant Infectious Diseases at the University Health Network of the University of Toronto. Dr Camargo has published extensively on cell-mediated immunity, immunotherapy, vaccines, and other topics in journals including Blood, Clinical Infectious Diseases, and JAMA Internal Medicine.
