Preetesh Jain, MBBS, MD, DM, PhD,has served as an assistant professor in the Division of Cancer Medicine, Department of Lymphoma and Myeloma, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center since 2020. He was previously trained in general medicine and medical oncology in India. Following medical school, he repeated all of his clinical training in the United States. Dr Jain has also completed a PhD in molecular medicine on the “Th17/IL-17 axis in CLL” at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in Manhasset, NY, and has undergone further training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center since 2012. He is a clinical investigator and translational researcher focusing on mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), and he works with Michael Wang, MD, within the MCL group at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr Jain has received multiple awards for his research in lymphoma and leukemia, and he has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences. In fiscal year 2024, he was named a "perfect score provider." Additionally, he and his team were recognized for being in the top 1% nationally for exceptional commitment to patients and families.
He is an invited reviewer for articles in various journals, has published several research papers, and is the principal investigator for the randomized phase 3 MANGROVE study in MCL at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Jain has authored numerous articles in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals that include Blood , Blood Advances , The Lancet Oncology , The Lancet Haematology , Clinical Cancer Research , the Journal of Clinical Oncology , the American Journal of Hematology , and the British Journal of Haematology . Dr Jain's work has been cited several times by other investigators, and he has an h-index of 35.
