Stephanie S. Faubion, MD, MBA, FACP, MSCP, IF, is a professor and chair of the Department of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL; the Penny and Bill George Director and founder of the Mayo Clinic Center for Women’s Health; and medical director of The Menopause Society.
Dr Faubion completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin and medical school and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She received her master of business administration degree at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
She is an innovator in women’s health and aims to better serve women in the menopause transition and beyond. Her clinical research interests include menopause and sexual health in women. Dr Faubion is co-principal investigator for the Data Registry on Experiences of Aging, Menopause, and Sexuality (commonly referred to as DREAMS). Additionally, she serves as editor of the journal Menopause and is the author of The New Rules of Menopause: A Mayo Clinic Guide to Perimenopause and Beyond.
