Jennifer Chan, MD, MPH, is an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and an institute physician in the Division of Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, both in Boston, MA. She also serves as director of the Neuroendocrine and Carcinoid Tumors Program and clinical director of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Dr Chan is a graduate of the University of Virginia. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and her masters of public health degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She completed her internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in medical oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Her clinical practice focuses on the care of patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms and gastrointestinal cancers. She has served as principal investigator for multiple clinical trials investigating novel therapies for neuroendocrine malignancies and has contributed to research examining factors that are associated with clinical outcomes.
Dr Chan is past president of the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society, serves on the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Neuroendocrine Tumors Guidelines Panel, cochairs the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Neuroendocrine Tumor Working Group, and is a member of the National Cancer Institute Neuroendocrine Tumor Taskforce.
