Conference Reporter® Podcast: Progressive Disease in Myelofibrosis
Despite meaningful advances with JAK inhibitors and other medical therapies, progressive disease remains a defining challenge in myelofibrosis, and allogeneic transplantation continues to hold a unique role as the only potentially curative option. In today’s podcast, Aaron T. Gerds, MD, MS, discusses evolving approaches to transplantation, JAK inhibitor failure, imetelstat-based strategies, and anemia-directed therapy, drawing on presentations from the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting.
Following these presentations, featured expert Aaron T. Gerds, MD, MS, was interviewed by Conference Reporter Associate Editor-in-Chief Rick Davis, MS, RPh. Clinical perspectives from Dr Gerds on these findings are presented here.
