Melinda L. Telli, MD, is a professor of medicine in the Division of Medical Oncology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is also director of the Breast Cancer Program, associate director of clinical research, and associate director of the Stanford Women's Cancer Center, all at the Stanford Cancer Institute.


Dr Telli received her medical degree with distinction from The George Washington University. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Stanford University and then stayed at Stanford to pursue fellowship training in medical oncology.


Her research focuses on the development of novel therapies for the treatment of breast cancer, with a focus on triple-negative and hereditary cancer, as well as metastatic breast cancer. She is interested in study designs that test the application of novel biomarkers in the clinical setting.


Dr Telli is cochair of the American Society of Clinical Oncology Breast Cancer Guideline Advisory Group and a member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network Breast Cancer Guidelines Panel.
