Purva Sharma, MD

Purva Sharma, MD, is a faculty nephrologist and codirector of the Glomerular Disease Center at Northwell Health at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut and a nephrology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr Sharma's clinical interests include glomerular diseases, acute kidney injury, and critical care nephrology. She is well published in the field of glomerular diseases and C3 glomerulopathy, and she plays a key teaching role in various international nephrology organizations. She is also codirector of the Galdi Fellowship in Onco-Nephrology and Glomerular Kidney Diseases and heads the Glomerular Disease Trials and Research Division at Northwell.
