Simron Singh, MD, MPH, FRCPC, is a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto and a medical oncologist at the Odette Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He holds the University of Toronto/Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre chair in neuroendocrine medical and systemic cancer care and research.


Dr Singh completed his BSc and his MD at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He completed postgraduate training in internal medicine at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and in medical oncology at the University of Toronto. After his clinical training, Dr Singh completed his MPH at Harvard University in Boston, MA.


He is a global leader and expert in the field of neuroendocrine cancers. He continues to create and lead major practice-changing global clinical trials and guidelines.


Besides being an internationally sought-after speaker, Dr Singh has published in numerous high-impact journals in this area, including The Lancet, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and JAMA. He coestablished the Susan Leslie Clinic for Neuroendocrine Tumours, the first of its kind in the region. Dr Singh is current president of the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society and cohead of the Commonwealth Neuroendocrine Tumour Research Collaboration.
